Music City

I spent last week in the lovely city of Nashville attending the Raymond James National Conference. I always enjoy going to the Annual National Conference, as it gives me a chance to attend valuable educational sessions as well as catch up on the latest industry standards and regulatory changes.  Raymond James does an excellent job of attracting the best and brightest from the investment world to share their insights on current market conditions as well as their views on the future.

For those of you that utilize Raymond James Investor Access, I wanted to take this edition of Short Squeeze to discuss a new feature being added this summer called “Vault.”  In a few weeks you will notice a new “Vault” tab on the Investor Access homepage. Vault is a secure online tool where you can upload, store and organize important files that you wish to share with us.  Vault also introduces a new, simple way for our team to collaborate with you by commenting on uploaded files.

You will be able to use Vault in many ways, from storing copies of insurance policies, tax returns, outside investment information and mortgage documentation to uploading photographs of valuables. Likewise, our team will be able to add documents for you to view on the Vault. Vault recognizes most file types and allows the upload of more than one file at once. You can create folders to organize files using the method that works best for you.  Files uploaded to Vault can be accessed from any internet-connected mobile device or computer, which makes viewing, sharing and commenting on files with Vault faster and simpler than with alternatives such as fax or secure email.

More information will be available in the coming weeks. I am also in the process of trying to secure a guest speaker for our next Quarterly Conference call (mid-July) from Raymond James to further explain the benefits of Vault to all of our clients.

Until next time.
